FairPhone 6 review

FairPhone 6 review: The Ethical Smartphone Changing the Game in 2025?

The fair Phone 6 is said to be the most repairable and eco friendly phone and good specs?

Specifications:

  • The screen size is 6.31" and the display is 1116x2484 pixels.
  • The battery capacity is 4415 mAh and 30W charging capacity
  • 8GB ram and snapdragon 7s gen 3
The phone weighs 193g and it is IP55 dust and water protection, drop resistant to 1.5 m, 9.6mm thick, 256GB storage and as the company said this phone is built to last it it has support for expandable storage and it has eSIM. The display is LTPO OLED, 120hz and 1400 nits peak brightness. and the screen is made from corning gorilla glass 7i.
The fair phone has Android 15 and 7 years of Android updates, 8 years of security updates and 5 years of hardware warranty, no one is doing that not apple not Samsung not oppo. It has a Octa core cpu and its GPU is adreno 810.

It has a 50MP main camera and it can record video at 4k 30fps and it has gyro-EIS and the selfie camera is 32MP  wide which can take videos at 4k 30fps as well and also has gyro-EIS. It has stereo speakers and no headphone jack. it also has NFC built in and it has a 4415 mAh battery and it can charge at 30W wired and can reach 50% in 25 minutes and it doesn't have wire less charging.

The fair phone doesnt have wire less charging because the back of it removable so the battery can be changed easily and it can be modded as well we can change the back plate to a card holder, and many other things for example some people have made lego backplates so they can attach their lego bricks to the back of it. this is something that apple and Samsung wouldn't dare doing this.

Here are some pros and cons

Pros:

  • Unmatched repairability & sustainability

  • Longest software support in the industry

  • Expandable storage + removable battery

  • Solid mid-range performance

  • Unique modular customization

Cons:

  • No wireless charging

  • Bulkier design compared to slim flagships

  • Cameras are good, not top-tier

  • No headphone jack

The fair phone's price is £495-£499 in pounds and its $899 in dollars.
